Inspired by St. Pope John Paul II and placed under the patronage of Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati, these retreats take young adult groups verso l’alto (towards the heights) of the Alberta Rockies for an outdoor Summer adventure with the mission of bringing them closer to God in and through transformational activities in the natural environment (e.g. rock climbing/rappelling, rafting, tyrolean traverse, and caving). Through the experiences of celebrating the Sacraments, outdoor activities, facilitated group sharing, and genuine camaraderie, retreatants are provided valuable opportunities to learn more about themselves, their Catholic faith, and their mission in life.

The Frassati Scholarship is made possible through a generous collaborative grant from the Conrad Hilton Foundation and the Federation of Vietnamese Women Religious in the USA. These funds are specifically designated to support initiatives that address the well-being of young adults within Vietnamese Catholic communities across the United States.
Therefore, eligibility for the Frassati Scholarship is limited to Vietnamese Catholic Young Adults who demonstrate a genuine desire to foster healthy relationships with their peers, family, and God while desiring to strengthen their faith and be committed to his/her personal well-being. While we welcome young adults of all backgrounds to attend the Frassati Adventure Retreat, the scholarship's funding is restricted to projects and individuals that directly align with these specific goals and the intended beneficiaries as defined by the grant.
For returning retreatants: you are welcome to attend the retreat again and re-apply for the scholarship. To allow for everyone to have a chance to participate, however, please note that you will be placed on the first-come-first-served waiting list in the case that there are still open spots and funds are still available.
